Over the decades since I have been alive, I have watched the slow but steady numbing of society’s concept of “a lot of money,” as it inflates faster than the price of eggs.

In today’s headlines, millions have been replaced by billions and trillions.

With all of the talk these days about “cutting waste and fraud” by DOGE (whose very existence is being challenged as being illegal constitutionally), the “savings” from their cuts are both random, as well as to be questioned at many levels. The NY Times reported that more than $4 Billion in “savings” had to be removed from their infamous “Wall of Receipts.”

How much have they actually “saved/cut?” Hard to really say, as the numbers are fluid (they appear and disappear), with no accounting for what the effects of these cuts mean in the long run to the economy. But, suffice it to say, with all of the mayhem and chaos they have created, “huge savings” have not been the result.

However, THEY ARE IGNORING ONE HUGE CUT THAT CAN SAVE CIVILIZATION with one stroke of the digital pen…and would immediately cut more than $1.7 TRILLION dollars from the bloated budget!

That is TRILLION with a “T,” and Civilization, as in you and me.

When I was a kid, being a “millionaire” (1,000 thousands) was a big deal. It still is, to about 80% of US citizens whose net worth falls well below that figure.

When you move into the “Billionaire” status (the people who actually own the world by virtue of having 1,000 – millions of dollars, in multiples of hundreds), we seem to simply glaze over our understanding of how much that is, in comparison to the people who work the jobs that MAKE the money for the billionaires.

The vast majority of Donny’s cabinet, and almost all of those in the Senate and Congress are multimillionaires and billionaires. Math and common sense do not seem to be their strong suits.

While DOGE is busy swapping numbers on their “Receipt Wall,” congress lined up the cowards and bootlickers, to pass the initial budget, that includes TAX CUTS for the richest of the rich, and results in a more than $4.6 TRILLION increase in the deficit (that pesky thing that DOGE is supposedly trying to reduce).

But no, I am talking about something FAR more dangerous than the deficit. Something that is “only” going to cost us $1.7 Trillion. But, will bring about the end of everything.

As in everything, everything.

What on earth could save 1.7 Trillion and SAVE CIVILIZATION?

The United States is ALREADY underway…spending $1.7 Trillion on “upgrading and retooling our Nuclear Arsenal.” Forget that DOGE fired a ton of people in charge of overseeing this and other nuke projects. They had to rehire them after discovering the “whoopsie!”

In short, this escalation of weaponry, that sends money across more than 23 State (industrial military complex anyone?), is one of the most dangerous boondoggles in the history of modern civilization.

• More than 20 new Nuke subs (which are only good for being portable nuke launchers).
• More than 100 B-21 bombers (which are designed to deliver nukes…period).
• “Smart weapons, driven by AI (AI? Smart? Have you tried Chat GPT?)
• Countless other big budget items are being built as we speak.

And, the powers that be, are ignoring one small fact:
NONE OF THEM CAN EVER BE USED. EVER! NOT ONE!

If you use one nuke, you might as well use them all. Because one will cause instant retaliation, with a chain reaction that will end civilization with as few as 100 overall weapons used. Various scenarios range from 100-300 to end civilization due to long-term fallout and global climate change that will bring on widespread famine.

By most recent statistics, the world’s nuclear-armed states possess a combined total of over 12,400 nuclear warheads; nearly 90% belong to Russia and the United States. Approximately 9,700 warheads are in military service, with the rest awaiting dismantlement (if we can ever actually agree to a sustained disarmament pact).

$1.7 TRILLION for something we will never use…BOOM! Stop it!

However. This opens up a greater discussion. Who really benefits from war and saber rattling? When we challenge our allies, insult world leaders, and cozy up to dictators, what is the REAL game plan by the good folks from the Heritage Foundation who wrote Project 2025, Agenda 47, and are behind the vast majority of “Presidential Orders” coming out of the White House?

All of this talk about military aid to Israel, Ukraine and maintaining more than 800 Military Bases in more than 70 countries around the world, has one primary benefactor; weapons manufacturers, who NEED war, mayhem and perceived threats to prosper. The “help” we give Ukraine (for which Donny and JD demanded thanks) actually added close to $70 Billion to our GDP.

There is far more to this insanity, and why the Tech Billionaires are suddenly MAGA supporters. We’ll keep following the money in later posts.

But, suffice it to say, cutting funding for our National Parks (a supposed DOGE savings of $167 million), which are enjoyed and loved by millions of visitors a year, doesn’t come close to scratching the silly B-21 Bomber program (100 Bombers we can’t/won’t use, at a cost of $692 million each).

In 2023, national parks generated $55.6 billion in economic output, according to the National Park Service. This was a record high.

How the money was spent:

• $26.4 billion was spent in local communities
• $19.4 billion was spent on labor
• $32 billion was added to the economy in value
• 415,000 jobs were supported

On top if this, let’s not forget the fact that “DOGE Commandant Musk,” got a nice $400 Million contract to provide armored Tesla Trucks to cart around diplomats…that shouldn’t be needed after the closing of our consulates.

I’m all for cutting Government waste. But, if I am reading the numbers correctly, our national deficit, and the very future of mankind, will be best served by CUTTING DOGE, and THE MAGA IDIOTS WHO JUST VOTED IN 4.6 TRILLION DOLLARS TO THE DEFICIT.
